Altrumedia Continues to Promote Product Safety
Before your next run-walk, pink t-shirt purchase, or donation, consider this — while we don’t fully understand the complexities of cancer we do know that the cancer rates in industrial societies is significantly higher than the rest of the developing world.
If fact, according to the World Cancer Research Fund International, the rate of cancers is almost twice as high in more developed countries.
Cancer, caused by the uncontrolled division and growth of abnormal cells in the body, is heavily influenced by environmental pollutants.
Cancer causing pollutants include:
- Chemicals (carcinogens)
The real problem is that we haven’t identified all of the cancer causing pollutants in our world. Some products, like Round-Up, were once thought to be safe but are proving to be deadly.
Talcum appears to be another dangerous product.
In a recent in-depth article, our affiliate – USRecallNews.com – looked at the growing evidence against baby powder. And in an effort to continue to be a public advocate, we’ve put together this Slideshare presentation to help examine the litigation mounting against talcum powder.
What’s the most surprising, is that while numerous products are being exposed as malignant, the United States is still allowing corporations to add ingredients to personal care products without required safety testing, and without ingredient disclosure.
Help us promote consumer safety by sharing this information and learning more about product safety. Take some time to learn about current legislation, like the Personal Care Products Safety Act of 2015, and talk to your local representatives about your concerns.
